Can olive oil lower the risk of cancer mortality?

A recent study by Harvard University examined the impact of olive oil in lowering the risk of cause-specific mortality. The article published by North American Olive Oil Association (NAOOA) points out that the study found that people who consume at least 1.5 teaspoons of olive oil daily have a 17% lower risk of cancer mortality.
